TERMS OF USE

The terms for using ZapBridge

Effective 1 Sep 2026 · ZapBridge app, zap.roshi.in/zapbridge and zapbridge.roshi.in · Roshi Software Solutions Pvt Ltd

In short

  • By installing ZapBridge or using zap.roshi.in/zapbridge or zapbridge.roshi.in, you agree to these terms and our privacy policy.
  • Use it only for your own texts and only in ways that are legal where you live.
  • Keep your own backups. ZapBridge does its best to deliver every text, but phones and networks can get in the way.
  • Once a text leaves your phone for a place you chose, we can't control who sees it there, and we aren't responsible for what happens to it.

Who can use ZapBridge

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and able to agree to these terms.

The service

ZapBridge is an Android app that backs up and restores your SMS, shows new SMS in a browser you pair, and runs automations you build. The laptop app at zapbridge.roshi.in receives texts from phones you pair with it. Both run on your own devices; we don't receive your texts.

If any part of ZapBridge is paid, the price is shown in Google Play before you buy, and Google Play's terms cover the payment and refunds.

We may change, add or remove features. If a change takes away something you rely on, we will say so in the app or on this site first where we reasonably can.

Your responsibilities

  • Use ZapBridge only on phones you own or are allowed to manage, and only for texts you are entitled to read.
  • Don't use it to watch, intercept or collect someone else's messages without their permission.
  • When an automation sends texts to a Slack channel, a webhook or an email address, you choose who can see them. Make sure sharing them is lawful and that the people who sent them would reasonably expect it.
  • Keep your pairing codes, webhook links and Google sign-in to yourself. Anyone who has them may be able to receive your texts.
  • Don't copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell ZapBridge, except where the law allows it.

Other services you connect

ZapBridge can work with services run by others, such as Google (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Google Play), Slack, your browser's notification service, and any webhook you enter. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to what you send them, and we aren't responsible for how they operate or if they are unavailable.

Delivery and backups

ZapBridge retries texts it couldn't send, but delivery can be delayed or fail, for example when the phone is off or offline, Android limits background work, a destination is down, or a permission is taken away. Don't rely on ZapBridge as the only copy of anything important, or for emergencies or one-time codes you can't miss.

A restore writes texts back into your phone's messages. Check the summary ZapBridge shows before you restore, and keep your original backup file.

Exposure of your texts

ZapBridge never receives your texts, so we can't see, leak or lose them on our side. Once a text leaves your phone, it is in the hands of the place you sent it, and we have no control over it there.

To the extent the law allows, Roshi Software Solutions Pvt Ltd is not responsible or liable for any access to, disclosure, leak or misuse of your texts or other data that results from:

  • a destination you chose, such as a Slack channel and its members, a webhook and whoever runs it, an email address and its recipients, or a Google Drive folder you share;
  • a security incident, outage or policy change at a third-party service, including Google, Slack, a browser's notification service or a webhook provider;
  • someone getting into your phone, your computer, your browser, your Google account or a backup file, including when a device is lost, stolen, shared or infected with malware;
  • a pairing code, webhook link or backup file that you shared or that someone copied;
  • notifications showing text on a lock screen or in notification history, when you chose to show it;
  • anything you did that these terms ask you not to do.

You are responsible for securing your devices and accounts and for choosing who can see the places you send texts to. This section doesn't limit liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, such as for our own fraud or gross negligence.

Warranty and liability

ZapBridge is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.

To the extent the law allows, Roshi Software Solutions Pvt Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost texts or data, arising from your use of ZapBridge. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for ZapBridge in the 12 months before the claim, or INR 0 if you paid nothing.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law where you live that can't be limited by agreement.

Ownership

ZapBridge, its name, logo and design belong to Roshi Software Solutions Pvt Ltd. Your texts and backup files are yours; these terms give us no rights to them.

Stopping

You can stop any time: turn everything off in Settings and uninstall the app, and remove your phones from any browser. We may stop providing ZapBridge, or your access to it if you break these terms, and will give notice where we reasonably can.
